Background
We first tasted vermentino wines while travelling to Italy in the mid eighties and this left an indelible impression. When developing our vineyard in the early 2000s, Vermentino was one of the key varietals we wanted to pursue. Quarantine restrictions allowed us only three vine cuttings and so after over a decade we finally made our first commercial release in 2010.
The vines have thrived in Margaret River conditions and we expect this to become a staple of the Australian summer.
Enjoy this wine as an aperitif or with food, as it has the strength of character to match many styles of cuisine. A hallmark of this variety is to ripen at very low sugar levels, hence the wines have the added appeal of being low in alcohol at 11.0%.

Bright pale quartz in colour with aromas of grapefruit and lime zest. The palate is crisp with abundant citrus and mineral flavours.
